FAMILY VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Family support is critical to swimmer and team success in swimming. Our families truly are the team behind the TEAM. As a year-round competitive swim program and nonprofit organization, we need the support of every family to ensure each season is successful for our swimmers, coaches, and families. As a requirement

of membership, each Team Charlotte family must complete service sessions (job credits) each season.

Volunteer job credits depend on the length of the time commitment. A typical 4-hour volunteer shift during a TEAM-hosted swim meet will fulfill 1 job credit. Requirements for each family are based on your most advanced swimmer in the program, and must be completed at TEAM HOSTED swim meets or events.

Families with a senior or pre-senior group swimmer must complete six (6) volunteer credits annually. Families with a blue 1, gold 1 or gold 2 group swimmer must complete four (4) volunteer credits annually. Families with a blue 2 or gold 3 group swimmer must complete three (3) volunteer credits annually.

Families that exceed their volunteer credit requirement will earn an account credit of $25 for each additional session completed. Account credits will be reflected on Feb 1, April 1, and July 1 billing.

Volunteer job credits can also be satisfied by serving as a meet official, meet director, hosting a swimmer/parent social, coordinating awards, pre-meet setup, leading a committee, etc. Additional volunteer opportunities will be circulated to families via email and on our website, but our priority is filling all volunteer

needs at our (5) hosted swim meets. The objective is to share the workload across our entire membership.

We host five (5) swim meets at which a majority of volunteering sessions are completed:

●TEAM September Splash - September 25, 2026

●TEAM LC/SC Duel in the Pool - January 3, 2027

●TEAM Western Open – January 22-24, 2027

●TEAM Sunkissed Jr/Sr Championships of the USA – March 18-22, 2027

●TEAM School’s Out Summer Invite - TBD in early June 2027

All families with a Senior, Pre-Senior, Gold, or Blue 1 swimmer must fulfill at least (1) job credit Sunkissed.

If a family fails to fulfill volunteer session requirements without reasonable justification, this will result in a fee assessment of $100 for each required session left incomplete as of June 30, 2027. Still, we value your time more than the fee. It really does take a village to run a highly effective nonprofit youth organization.
